Today, Conner Smith teased a brand new song “How It Looks From Here,” and announced the mid-tempo, break-up song will officially be out this Friday, May 26th.
From the 30-second teaser posted to social media, this already sounds like it could be my favorite Conner Smith release to date, since, well…his last release “Creek Will Rise” back in February, written by Smith, along with Chase McGill and Parker Welling.
Conner Smith’s “I Hate Alabama” went viral back in 2021 and he has been one of the hottest up-and-coming acts in the genre ever since. How It Looks From Here has more of a similar sound to Alabama, rather than his twangy rocker “Creek Will Rise.“
You can pre-save it now and have it added to your library when it drops at midnight this Friday. Oh, and while you’re at it, check out Conner’s quick cover of Keith Whitley’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes” he posted on Instagram earlier in the month. You’re welcome.
