Kind of a big deal… This past week, Brett Young officially received four new gold/platinum certifications from the RIAA and his biggest hit to date, “In Case You Didn’t Know,” went a massive 9X platinum, meaning it’s moved over 9 million units since its release. To put that into perspective, when a record goes 10x platinum, it becomes a certified Diamond record, something not too many artists do, especially in Country music. Young is THAT close. Brett Young’s 2016 debut single, “Sleep Without You,” as well as “Here Tonight,” also went 2X platinum, while his collaboration with Gavin Degraw, “Chapters”…

It’s here. Today, Zach Bryan released the music video for his popular song, “Oklahoma Smokeshow,” and per usual, it didn’t disappoint. The video was directed by Matthew Dillon Cohen and although it didn’t feature any performance clips from Bryan himself, the unraveling story keeps your attention until the very end. Even Theo Von commented on the YouTube video, calling it; “Dang amazing. amen.” Zach took to Instagram to say: Thank you guys so much for the support always. There was a lot of effort put into this and we’re proud it.” Check out the Oklahoma Smokeshow music video, below. View…
I mean, at this point, is it really a shock? According to Chart Data, a widely followed music-news and chart provider, Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing At A Time” is currently the best-selling album of 2023 so far with 2.199 million units sold. Not only does he hold the top spot for the year, his 2021 release, “Dangerous”: The Double Album,” is the fifth best-selling album of the year, as well. At this point, Morgan has broken so many records the past two years that for one, I can barely keep up…and for two, it’s no really no surprise, considering his…
Earlier this month, William Clark Green stopped by the Jarrod Morris Vibe Podcast to discuss music, money, college, and a pretty interesting segment about Koe Wetzel, Parker McCollum and the Texas Music Scene. Over the last few years, we’ve seen Parker McCollum and Koe Wetzel explode in popularity. From Koe inking a deal with Columbia Records, to Parker seeing his first No. 1 on Country radio back in Decemeber of ’20 with “Pretty Heart.” With all of that said, it appears it doesn’t always sit well with some (and probably few) in the Texas Country music scene. “Dude, I’m telling…
That chorus, though. This morning, Ernest took to twitter to share part of a brand new song, “Takes After You,” as well as some pretty cool insight on how he got the inspiration for it. “I heard someone talking to Johnny Cash in a video – they said “Johnny I’ve known ya a long time…. And I got a son now, and if he don’t take after Jesus… I’d be quite alright if he took after you” Ernest then goes on to say how it immediately made him think of his wife and two-year-old son, Ryman. “I couldn’t agree more…
These guys need to be on your radar. Today, the Huser Brothers released their new single, “No More,” and it’s DAMN good. Born and raised in Waco, TX, the band, consisting of Zach and Josh Huser, has been killing it in the independent scene, opening for acts such as Koe Wetzel, Parker McCollum and Aaron Watson. However, they still deserve a ton more attention than they receive. I first heard the group in 2019 and immediately took to the rockin’ sound of “Tired Of Runnin'” and “Missing You,” along with Josh’s killer vocals. Their sound has evolved since their 2018…
