First they were country. Then they were emo. And now, they’ve gone full-blown grunge.
Once again crossing over genre lines, Muscadine Bloodline’s Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton have added another acoustic cover to their portfolio with a rendition of Creed’s 1999 masterpiece “Higher” posted to the duo’s socials earlier today.
As the pair’s caption puts it, “Creed was and STILL is awesome!” It seems like everybody agrees, especially when it comes to their take on the group’s classic hit.
With Muncaster and Stanton already having released Teenage Angst in 2023, they are well experienced when it comes to blending alt-rock wit country. It is for this reason that today’s post only renews enthusiasm for a hopeful successor album.
And while Teenage Angst (Part 2: Angstier) remains only a dream, at least the duo has given us enough punk covers to play on repeat while we wait.
