Rising Texas singer/songwriter, Dylan Gossett, has officially announced he’s signed with Big Loud Texas/Mercury Records today.

It should come as no surprise given the Coal singer’s massive streaming numbers and quick rise to fame. Beginning posting on TikTok back in April of this year, Gossett has already amassed over 335,000 followers on the platform. His streaming numbers on Spotify are also incredible, sitting at over 4.4 million monthly listeners and over 42 million streams on his smash hit, Coal, as of today.

Coal is also currently sitting at #35 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

In an exclusive interview with Country Chord, Gossett expressed that the labels understands his music and style incredibly well, “I think it’s just two labels that really understand the music, what we’re trying to do with it. I couldn’t be more excited.”

Gossett also noted that this was an incredibly important decision for him, “This was not a decision that I took lightly at all. There were times I was like, ‘I don’t want to sign; I don’t need to sign.'”

That being said, Gossett already feels like he’s at home with Big Loud Texas, who partnered with Grammy-winner, Miranda Lambert, “It was just the perfect situation, perfect group of people. I couldn’t really see myself being anywhere else, so I’m over the moon about it.”

Lambert believes that Gossett will be a perfect fit for Big Loud Texas:

“When I first heard Dylan’s song ‘Coal,’ I played it a few times because I wanted to catch all the ways he was sharing his life with us. To write and deliver something that is complex yet elegant lyrically – and to also make it vulnerable – is an art. After Jon [Randall] and I spent time with Dylan, we both agreed he is an artist Big Loud Texas was created to champion and support.”

Later in the interview, the Texan singer/songwriter noted how excited he is to release music under the labels and how he won’t change his independent sound, “I know we’re going to make some cool stuff happen. All the music is staying the exact same. They want me to continue to make the music that I want to make. I’m over the moon. I’m super excited to be partnered up with those guys.”

Tyler Arnold, President of Mercury Records, expressed his excitement to have Gossett on board, “I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Dylan into the Mercury family. He’s an incredible artist and songwriter, and it’s been a really memorable process getting to know him over the last few months. We truly believe he’s going to be a game changing artist for this generation.”
