Fresh off of two brand new RIAA certifications for “Sweet Dreams” (gold) and “High Road” (platinum) off of his new album, 9 Lives, Koe Wetzel is back with a brand new project: a three song Apple Music Nashville Sessions EP.
Apple Music Nashville Sessions have been quitely been creating some of the most interesting service-exclusive EPs out there today. With everyone from Charles Wesley Godwin, Jason Isbell and Turnpike Troubadours to Riley Green, Ronnie Dunn and Parker McCollum releasing their own projects over the past year, we have received some brilliant covers and reimaginings of these artists’ best songs.
Today, without any social media posts, Wetzel quietly dropped his Nashville Session which includes his recently-released “High Road,” fan-favorite, “Austin,” and a cover of Garth Brooks’ iconic 1990 #1 hit, “The Dance.”
For fans of Wetzel, an official recording of “The Dance” has been a long time coming given that he has been playing it fairly frequently at his live shows over the past two years. It’s safe to say that it did not disappoint either. The “Ragweed” singer delivers an incredible vocal performance on the Garth Brooks classic and finally allows fans of the song the ability to listen to it on a streaming service other than Amazon Music.
All three songs are currently exclusively streaming on Apple Music. Listen here:
