Despite a weekend filled with smog and rainy weather, Morgan Wallen prevailed through his back-to-back Baltimore shows this past July 17 and 18.
Night two of his M&T Stadium shows saw the real brunt of it, with a two-hour rain delay forcing gates to open late at 6 p.m., and both openers, Jason Scott & the High Heart and Gavin Adcock, forced to cancel their acts. Luckily, fans who were stuck waiting out the storms before the concert were still treated to another incredible pre-show from dominating force, Ella Langley, followed by an unbeatable walkout alongside former legendary Ravens linebacker, Ray Lewis.
Longtime No. 52 strutted out alongside the country music superstar to a slight mix-up in intro songs. Instead of Morgan Wallen’s music, the stadium played the linebacker’s iconic walkout anthem, Nelly’s “Hot in Herre,” prompting both Wallen and Lewis to break out the signature “Squirrel Dance.” Even though Wallen didn’t get to take the stage ’til past 10 pm, he still delivered a loaded, high-energy set of 27 songs including his recently announced upcoming release, “Been By Now,” and his chart-topping duet with Ella Langley, “I Can’t Love You Anymore.”
The night still came with it’s post downpour troubles, though, with one TikTok user capturing the exact moment the Sneedville natives life almost flashed before his eyes on stage. Mid-performance of his 2017 track with Florida Georgia Line, “Up Down,” where he brings out tour opener Gavin Adcock alongside him, Wallen was flying down the stage, running back and forth like he tends to do, and d*mn near almost catches a broken back.
Running to the left side of the stage, he starts to slip, letting out a pretty hefty sound of fear as he catches his balance. Right after nearly almost eating sh*t, his face tells all, shaking his head in awe at what almost just happened and the legendary save.
I gotta give it to him, the recovery was pretty impressive. You’d think the massive fiery flames on the side of the stage would’ve dried off all the excess water, but luckily Wallen was in good spirits about it, laughing the moment off as he walked (carefully) away.
Considering all the storm troubles Wallen’s faced throughout his 2026 Still The Problem Tour, hopefully his last two weekends will bring better weather as he prepares to return to the stage next weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan alongside Thomas Rhett, HARDY, Hudson Westbrook and Blake Whiten.
