Oh yeah, ’cause the resemblance is uncanny…
During a recent interview with Kelly Sutton and Amber Anderson on the Country Heat Weekly Podcast, Riley Green stopped by to promote his newest sophomore album, Ain’t My Last Rodeo, and also touched on some other entertaining topics, such as how touring with Luke Combs shaped his new record, as well as if he gets mistaken for other people when he goes out in public.
When asked the direct question of who he gets mistaken for, Riley said this:
“I feel like people just think I’m somebody. ‘Cause I’m tall, they just think I’m a baseball player or something.”
Riley then went on to tell a story of a time he was out at a BBQ restaurant in Alabama and was asked by multiple people to take photos…
“The waitress came up and said ‘hey, will you take a picture with this little girl?’…she was a fan. At the end of the meal, she said ‘hey there’s this one more couple that wants a picture if you don’t mind.’ I was like yeah sure. The lady was right there lookin’, she had her phone out and I was like ‘you want a picture with me?’ and she was like ‘I know who you are Tim Tebow.‘”
“I don’t look anything like Tim Tebow but she just knew I was somebody…she probably like googled some tall guy with dark hair that’s famous and that’s who she came up with.”
