Country music’s bell bottom queen has officially been named Entertainer of The Year at tonight’s CMA Awards.
Lainey Wilson killed it at the CMA’s this year, leading the pack with 9 nominations, 5 wins, and an incredible performance of “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”
She started the day off strong, winning Musical Event Of The Year and Music Video Of The Year for her 2022 collab with HARDY “wait in the truck” and continued to rack up the honors as the night progressed.
The reigning Female Vocalist of The Year held onto the title for the second year in a row, and scored Album of The Year before taking home the most sought after award of the night, Entertainer of The Year.
Other nominees in the category included Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen.
After winning New Artist of The Year only a year ago, becoming Entertainer of The Year is virtually unheard of (especially for a female artist) so this accomplishment is one for the books.
After Keith Urban announced Lainey as the winner, The Bell Bottom Country artist graciously accepted her final award with what was (in my opinion) one of the best speeches of the night as the show came to a close.
