Fresh off headlining Laurel Cove Music Festival in Pineville, Kentucky, and performing with Gavin DeGraw at CMA Fest, Wyatt Flores received his first-ever platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America for his 2022 hit, “Please Don’t Go.”
The song, co-written by Flores and Ryan Price, was certified gold back on November 17, 2023 before officially hitting platinum status on June 5.
It should come as no surprise that the track was certified platinum given that it currently has over 121 million streams on Spotify alone as of writing, being Flores‘ #1 song on the streaming platform by a wide margin.
With Flores’ current success in the alt country scene, this should be the first of many platinum records for him. Tracks such as “Losing Sleep” and “Break My Bones” have already racked up tens of millions of streams on Spotify alone, so be on the look out for those receiving gold certifications in the near future.
Flores is currently on his “Here There + Gone” tour. Up-coming dates include the following:
- 6/13 Bloomington, IL
- 6/20 Milwaukee, WI
- 6/21-22 Columbus, OH
- 7/4 Isle of Palms, SC
- 7/6 Madison, IN
- 7/12 Grand Rapids, MI
- 7/13 Chicago, IL
- 7/18 Cullman, AL
- 7/24 Aspen, CO
