The speculations can finally be put to rest about Ella Langley’s love life because she made it very clear that she is not here to play any games.
During a recent TikTok live, Langley chatted with fans while getting glammed up (her classic bangs set in a curler, of course, too). For those unfamiliar with these iconic chats, Langley is the queen of get-ready-with-me, unfiltered lives with fans on both TikTok and Instagram. Every time she goes live, it literally feels like a FaceTime with your favorite big sister.
During the session, she answered a few fan questions from the comments, with one asking, “What do you look for in a man?”. The 26-year-old Alabaman responded, “The list gets longer and longer as the days go by.” Her first requirement is pretty standard: “Just somebody who’s nice.” She then clarifies, “And a man, not a little boy, a man.”
Langley, who officially launched her career in 2023 with her debut EP Excuse The Mess, has quickly emerged as one of country music’s most promising new voices. But despite her growing acclaim, it seems fans remain fixated on one thing: her rumored relationship with fellow country artist Riley Green.
Their duet, “You Look Like You Love Me,” released in June 2024, showcased an undeniable chemistry between the two and quickly became a hit. Naturally, the romantic tone and flirty lyrics sparked a wave of dating rumors, theories about love triangles, and, most recently, speculation about a scorned breakup.
Fans in the comments of the clip of Langleys’ live posted on TikTok didn’t miss a beat with making the Riley Green connection:
“‘Not a little boy’ = Riley Green”
“Riley Green just got called out.”
“She’s scorned, you can tell by the way she says ‘AN ACTUAL MAN’”
Whether or not Langley and Green had a spark at some point, the rising superstar obviously has her priorities straight and is not letting the tough hunt for a “man” get in the way of her exponentially growing career. Beyond dating rumours, Langley and Green had a standout night at the ACM awards on April 24.
In case you missed it, Langley took home five ACM awards, with four being for “You Look Like You Love Me” as well as New Female Artist of the Year. The two also performed the hit at the show, as well as numerous events that have continued to stir up drama. Fans have taken on the role of Inspector Gadget, monitoring their body language, eye contact, and every waking moment posted online to catch a glimpse into what’s happening behind the scenes.
While Green certainly helped boost the popularity of Langley’s first hit, she has proved that her success is evergreen beyond the single. If the buzz surrounding Langley hasn’t already convinced you to listen to her 2024 album, Hungover, in full, you are missing out on a legend in the making.
After the completion of her successful 2025 Still Hungover tour, Langley is continuing on a string of tour dates this summer joining Riley Green on his Damn Country Music tour, Morgan Wallens I’m The Problem Tour and a few solo shows and festivals mixed in.
