Just hours before his opening appearance on the first night of HARDY’s Jim Bob World Tour, Koe Wetzel sent the internet into a frenzy and cancelled all three appearances over the holiday weekend due to a family medical emergency.
In an Instagram post, the “High Road” singer said, “Unfortunately due to a family medical event, I’ve got to get back to Texas. We hate to miss this first weekend of the JimBob World Tour with our brother HARDY, so make sure y’all show Stephen Wilson Jr. & McCoy Moore all the love. Hoping to get back out next week and party with y’all in Salt Lake City, Utah. Thanks for understanding. Much love and see you soon. – Koe.”
Though the Texas native did not state what the medical emergency was about, many fans were quick to speculate that the medical emergency was none other than to see the birth of his first child with long-time girlfriend, Bailey Fisher. This, of course, was speculated due to Fisher taking to Instagram back in January to announce that she and Wetzel were expecting and was halfway through her pregnancy.
Both Wetzel and Fisher kept a low profile over the weekend with neither taking to social media to update fans on the current state of the pregnancy.
Minutes ago, however, Fisher took to Instagram to announce that their first child, a baby girl, was born on Friday morning at 5 pounds, 11 ounces:
Wetzel and Fisher welcomed Woods Madison Wetzel into the world on Friday, May 23rd at 6:49 a.m. with all signs pointing to a healthy delivery for both the mother and daughter. Fellow artists such as Kolby Cooper and Huser Brother Band were quick to congratulate the couple, commenting on Fisher’s Instagram post:
Congrats y’all!
Kolby Cooper
Congrats yall! she’s precious
Huser Brother Band
As of writing, Wetzel has yet to publicly announce Woods Madison’s birth. With that being said, however, it should not come as a surprise given that he has been incredibly private with his personal life with Fisher throughout his career.
Additionally, the 32-year-old singer/songwriter has yet to give an official announcement on his return to HARDY’s tour. However, judging by his previous Instagram post, he should resume his scheduled dates this Thursday, May 29th, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
