Gavin Adcock & Afroman Perform “Crazy Rap (Colt 45 & 2 Zig Zags)” At Rock The Country And It Might Be The Most Insane Crossover Of 2025

The most unexpected crossover of 2025?

In the midst of an incredibly busy July that included the announcement of his sophomore album, Own Worst Enemy, going viral on Instagram defending Morgan Wallen after adult film actress Mia Khalifa called his music “for racists” and getting into a public feud with Beyoncé fans after he called out the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s music for not being country, Gavin Adcock has been making headlines seemingly daily lately.

Over the weekend, the “Need To” singer continued his extended run on the nationwide Rock The Country festival in Sioux Falls, North Dakota. Appearing alongside headliners, Kid Rock and Nickelback, as well as Travis Tritt, Tracy Lawrence, Shenandoah, Hudson Westbrook and more, Adcock treated fans to a 16-song set.

After performing his set which included hits such as the certified platinum, “A Cigarette,” as well as “Deep End,” “Run Your Mouth” and “Morning Bail,” the 26-year-old singer/songwriter returned to the stage during Afroman’s set for what can only be described as one of the most unexpected crossovers of 2025.

Afroman, best known for his 2000 smash hit, “Because I Got High,” has been featured on every single date of Rock the Country 2025 as a part of the “Throwback Happy Hour” along with Ying Yang Twins and DJ Slim McGraw.

Directly after finishing the aformentioned “Becuase I Got High,” the Californian rapper called up Adcock to perform his second-biggest hit, “Crazy Rap (Colt 45 & 2 Zig Zags).” The track, which was released in 2001, has charted in 10 different countries and is currently certified 3x platinum by the RIAA.

As for the performance itself, it’s exactly what you’d expect from an unexpected crossover between the “Sober” singer and Afroman. Adock, who had already unbuttoned his vest, shared a Colt 45 on stage with Afroman before continuing to hype up the crowd.

Adcock is currently on his 2025 Need To Tour with plenty of shows available throughout the summer into the early fall. Upcoming dates include the following:

    • 7/24 Clarksburg, WB
    • 8/21 Wichita, KS
    • 8/22 Colorado Springs, CO
    • 8/23 Salt Lake City, UT
    • 8/28 Richmond, VA
    • 8/29 Salem, VA
    • 9/11 Kansas City, MO
    • 9/12 Irving, TX
    • 9/14 St. Louis, MO
