Honing in on her roots, Ella Langley has been extremely vulnerable throughout this new era of music, sharing how returning home to Alabama this past August not only gave her a much needed mental-reset but also gave her the time to reconnect with the Lord.
This growing faith has certainly had an impact on the development of her upcoming album, Dandelion, in which Langley has been extremely open about this journey and how it’s become the backbone to staying sane in this crazy industry. Exemplifying this truth once more, Langley took to social media last night to celebrate Easter Sunday with an at-home performance of the hymn, “Because He Lives.”
In the Instagram story post, the 26-year-old singer-songwriter opened up in the captioned text, “Even though I’ve been a believer in Christ my whole life, my relationship with him has changed drastically over the last year.” She added, “I started to have ‘faith.’ I started to view the days we have been given as a gift instead of a chore.”
Graciously ending the message with, “I am so grateful for a God who leads with love and compassion. Thank you, Jesus, for giving me a way to spend eternity with you,” the rising star serenades in the background with a gorgeous stripped-down piano version of this Christian classic. Currently at the pinnacle of her career, continuing to reach untouchable milestones with her October 2025 single “Choosin’ Texas,” this video comes as a full-circle moment for Langley, who grew up singing in the church.
And while this isn’t an official version of the gospel track, Langley joins the likes of country artists like Reba McEntire, Alabama, and Carrie Underwood, who have also all put their own spin on the song. Just when we thought we couldn’t love country music’s princess anymore, this touching Easter tribute, just a few days before her sophomore album’s release on April 10, continues to highlight her grounded, admirable personality.
With four singles already released, including the title track, “Choosin’ Texas, “Be Her,” and “Loving Life Again,” fans can look forward to the remaining 14 new tracks to come this Friday, ushering in a Dandelion-spring. Hopefully, the iHeart Radio Best New Country Artist will also take us to church at her upcoming 2026 headlining tour, kickstarting on May 7 in Toledo, Ohio, and rounding out on August 15 in Fort Worth, Texas.
