The countdown to Jason Aldean’s upcoming album, Songs About Us, is now officially just a week away, with next Friday, April 24, ushering in a new era for the country music icon.
So far, ten out of the twenty tracks have been released, including the September 2025 single “How Far Does A Goodbye Go,” tipping Aldean over the edge to an astounding 31 number-one hits. This project also includes some standout collaborations for the Georgia native.
He’s joined by his home-state alum and fellow country music superstar, Luke Bryan, on the title track, and steps into new territory with his wife, Brittany Aldean, on their harmonized duet, “Easier Gone.” Aldean also throws it back to a ’90s classic, partnering with David Lee Murphy for a revived rendition of “Dust On The Bottle.”
Aldean has been highlighting a few of these initial drops with his latest acoustic series on YouTube, Fireside Sessions, including his most recent April 13 premiere of the track alongside Murphy. This newest stripped-down performance adds to the previously posted “Easier Gone,” “Don’t Tell On Me,” “Her Favorite Color,” and “Help You Remember.”
Aldean, joined by his bandmates and Murphy, opens the rustic video by strumming the iconic intro in unison, while the drummer taps out the beat on a simple wooden box. This rendition immediately transports you straight to the wood-paneled cabin room with their vocals taking center stage and the bare instrumentals ringing through the mics. It’s pretty hard not to find yourself nodding your head along to the boys jamming out to this solid country gold hit, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Singles in 1995.
Hopefully, this lasting fan-favorite will make its way onto Aldean’s upcoming 2026 Songs About Us tour. Joined on the road by Chase Matthew, Mackenzie Carpenter, and more, the 22 stops throughout the summer will kick off on July 16 in Bangor, Maine, and round out on September 26 in Gilford, New Hampshire.
The “Too Fast” singer will also make his return to the stage the day after his album release on Saturday, April 25, for a historic performance returning to the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium. Joined by his fellow “Songs About Us” singer, Luke Bryan, along with Zach Top and Lauren Alaina, this “Live Between The Hedges” show will mark a full circle moment as Aldean was the first artist to headline the venue 13 years ago.
