If there’s one thing Chris Young is good at, it’s “Gettin’ You Home” no matter the circumstances.
The country music star recently lent a big helping hand in quietly working under the radar to help a struggling cancer patient, hoping to spend her final days surrounded by family, secure a flight home. Her urgent story first came to light after her friend @joslyn.marie on TikTok made a now viral video (with over 2.9 million views) pleading for anyone with a private plane to help transport her friend.
She explained in her “desperate attempt” that her 33-year-old friend Mariah was currently receiving treatments in California and was put on hospice after battling stage four colon cancer, and needed to get home to Albertville, Alabama, immediately. Joslyn also noted in her frantic request that, “She is way too sick. She can’t fly commercial.”
In the caption of her video, she tagged TikTok star Justin Danger Nunley, who has built a following of over 10 million and had previously helped Joslyn. Last December, Nunley encouraged his followers to donate to a fundraiser for her son’s spinal cord surgery, which ultimately raised thousands of dollars. Lo and behold, Justin came to the rescue once more after Joslyn reached out again, seeing if he could be of any assistance a second time around.
Answering her prayers, Justin made an update video where he explained that to aid Mariah’s “dying wish to be home in Alabama around her friends and family,” he reached out to his own good friend and “Famous Friends” singer, Chris Young. Upon answering the phone call, Chris did not hesitate to ask, “What do you need and when do you need it?” and immediately helped set up his private jet and pilot, Ryan, to help transport her.
He goes on to shout out the humble country music star, adding, “Chris is probably gonna be mad at me for even telling this because he’s kind of a private person when it comes to helping people out.” Adding, “What a good dude. God bless you, man.”
In the latest update video from Justin, he confirmed that Mariah made it home from the cross-country flight successfully yesterday. Chris himself commented underneath the post, expressing his gratitude to his pilot and Justin, noting, “So glad I could help.”

Echoing the many comments praising Chris for stepping up and offering such incredible help during this difficult time, these are exactly the type of causes celebrities should be using their platforms to support. Sending prayers to both Mariah and her family as they finally get to spend this precious time together at home.
