Easily one of the most underrated artists in the game.
Sam Grow put himself on the map with his debut studio album “Love and Whiskey,” back in 2019. The record landed him a #1 spot on the iTunes Country Albums chart following it’s release, and gained Grow a place on Billboard’s list of “7 Country Acts To Watch” in 2019. He continued his success with his 2020 EP “Me and Mine,” where fans first heard the top-streamed single “Song About You,” later named one of Spotify’s Best Country Songs of 2020.
Sam Grow’s career has been steadily growing in the last year, especially after back-to-back releases in 2021 and 2022, with his sophomore record “This Town,” and third album “Manchester.” The Maryland-native turned Tennessee-transplant has been on quite the grind, and continues to prove he’s not quitting any time soon. He dropped his first single of the year, “Red Lights,” last Friday and the song immediately became an overnight fan-favorite.
Sam Grow shared a progression of the track’s performance on Instagram, posting three separate screenshots as the number of listeners and all-time streams continued to rise. He added a lengthy caption to the last one, thanking fans and encouraging other artists to keep working hard.
“Y’all know it wasn’t too long ago I would fight for 20k streams on Spotify day one and it wasn’t until I changed my mindset that I got results,” Grow shared with the post, adding “Keep making YOUR music and I’ll keep cheering for you.” Honestly, what a freakin’ wholesome dude.
“Red Lights” is going to be a record-breaker for Sam Grow, I can already tell. Listen to the track here, and check out the acoustic version below:
