This morning, ERNEST took to Instagram to share his cover of “Slow Dancing In A Burning Room,” the popular 2006 deep cut by John Mayer. While it hasn’t yet been released on iTunes or Spotify, ERNEST shared his cover on YouTube through what he’s calling “Circle Sessions.”
In the past couple of years, ERNEST has made a huge name for himself, most recent being his feature on Morgan Wallen’s track, “Cowgirls.” And just a few weeks ago, ERNEST released the single “Takes After You,” a beautifully dedicated song to all the moms out there. We of course can’t forget “Flower Shops (feat. Morgan Wallen),” the song that started it all.
In the newly named Circle Sessions, ERNEST and crew are on stage at the Opry, in a (you guessed it) circle. In an intimate setting, the well-known Mayer song gets a unique country flare. The addition of steel guitar, with such vulnerable lyrics ultimately creates a masterpiece.
Fans are loving the cover so far. While it’s only been out for 12 hours, all comments on the YouTube video are positive and fans are begging for more intimate sessions like this from Ern. While it’s not yet released on music platforms, you can find the video session on ERNEST’s YouTube, as well as a clip on his Instagram reels.
Just like the rest of his fans, I sure do hope ERNEST releases this cover soon on other platforms. Till then, check out the Circle Session below.
