Country music singer/songwriter and Middle Tennessee State University alum, Michael Hardy (better known by his stage name of just HARDY), had the privilege of his returning to his old school a few months back to give the commencement address to over 2,000 graduating students. This one hurts. As we gear up to learn who the 2025 Country Music Hall of Fame class will be tomorrow, I wanted to to take a look back at the 2024 inductees, more specifically: Toby Keith. Serving alongside John Anderson (Veterans Era Artist) and James Burton (Recording and/or Touring Musician), Toby was entered last year as the Modern Era Artist just months after his tragic passing on February 5th. I could watch this again and again. Neither Chris Stapleton nor Sturgill Simpson are strangers to making appearances on Saturday Night Live. Just moments ago, Lollapalooza (typically known for alternative punk rock, heavy metal, hip hop, and electronic dance music), officially announced the lineup for their 2024 festival and it includes some of country’s hottest rising acts. Headliners for the diverse, four-day event include Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, A$AP ROCKY, Korn, Gracie Abrams, Tyler, The Creator, and a first time country headliner in Luke Combs.
