Bringing it home. This past weekend in Stillwater, Oklahoma, was one for the ages. With over 180,000 people in attendance at the Cross Canadian Ragweed’s Boys From Oklahoma throughout the four shows, the concert series can only be described as a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fans of red dirt country. With fellow red dirt legends, the Turnpike Troubadours, The Great Divide, Jason Boland & The Stragglers and Stoney LaRue, serving as primary openers, a plethora of different artists made surprise appearances throughout the weekend. Whether it was Dierks Bentley coming out on night one to join Ragweed on “42 Miles,” Wyatt Flores…

Early contender for collaboration of the year. If there were an award for most underrated concert lineup of the year, Georgia Rodeo would be high on the list. With buzzy artists, Gabriella Rose and Maggie Antone, as well as Cameron Whitcomb starting the night off strong, Zach Top and The Red Clay Strays closed off the night with killer sets. After Top delivered a knockout set consisting of hits such as his certified gold single, “I Never Lie,” as well as “Bad Luck,” “Use Me” and a cover of George Strait’s “Amarillo By Morning,” The Red Clay Strays brought the…
Ragweed is officially back. For many in the red dirt scene, last night in Stillwater, Oklahoma, was nothing short of a milestone. After a 15-year hiatus, Cross Canadian Ragweed took the stage for just the second time since 2010 for the first of four shows in their weekend-long Boys From Oklahoma concert series. Joined by the likes of fellow red dirt legends, the Turnpike Troubadours, The Great Divide, Jason Boland & The Stragglers and Stoney LaRue, Ragweed made their triumphant return to a sold-out crowd of over 45,000 people at Boone Pickens Stadium. After Turnpike, The Great Divide, Boland and…
Ed Sheeran is an artist who truly has no limit when it comes to both talent and genre experimentation. From his massive hits “Shape of You” and “Perfect” to his collaborations with the likes of Chris Stapleton, Eminem, Travis Scott, Justin Bieber and more, the British superstar has proven time and time again that he can dabble in nearly every genre — and it looks like country might be his next venture. At this point, it’s fairly well known that Sheeran has been a longtime fan of the genre, telling Nash News back in 2023 that he’s a “massive country…
Grabbin’ a quick bite. Though he made headlines over the weekend with his hilarious “Horsecycle” entrance in Oklahoma City, it seems like Tyler Childers was living his best life over the weekend in Little Rock, Arkansas as well. Before treating fans to a stellar 21-song set that included the likes of “Follow You To Virgie,” “Whitehouse Road” and a cover of Kenny Rogers’ “Tulsa Turnaround,” it seems as if the “Feathered Indians” singer got a little hungry during his walkout back to the stage. In a video by TikTok user, the_nuthatch_nook, Childers can be seen making what they described as…
For many, John Rich is known for two things: his outspoken political views and, most notably, being the other half of the Grammy-nominated duo, Big & Rich. What many people don’t know (or remember) is his tenure with the legendary ’90s band, Lonestar. Before forming Big & Rich in 2002 along with William Kenneth Alphin (better known as Big Kenny), Rich served as the bassist and co-lead vocalist for Lonestar in their early days from 1992-1998. Co-writing two singles, “Come Cryin’ To Me” and “Say When,” Rich was nothing short of an integral part of the band. Though it was…
