Post’s country music career continues to blossom.
If making an ACM Awards performance, a CMA Fest appearance and scoring a #1 country hit wasn’t enough to truly consider Post Malone a full-fledged member of the country music world, the “Congratulations” singer will be making his Grand Ole Opry debut alongside none other than Brad Paisley on August 14th.
Just minutes ago, the official Opry social media account posted Paisley’s invitation to Post across all platforms.
In the video, Paisley said, “Hey Post, Brad here, what I’m about to ask is going to mean a lot to you, I think, knowing you and knowing the respect you have for country music and this journey you’re embarking on now as a hillbilly singer, which is gonna be massive and remarkable and amazing for both country music and I think you. Would you like to play the Opry? Come play it with me in August. Total invite, and it’s gonna be the first of many appearances, I have a feeling, from you. Come experience what it’s like to play the show that started it all. You and I can jam together, and a lot of your friends will be there. And we’re gonna have a blast.”
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Paisley was the one to invite Post to play the Opry given that it was Post’s cover of “I’m Gonna Miss Her” back in 2021 that truly started his journey into the genre. That performance coupled with their appearance together at CMA Fest this year which featured a cover of Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochee” as well as “I’m Gonna Miss Her,” truly made Paisley the best choice to break the news.
Tickets for Post’s Opry debut are on sale now, starting at $53 per seat. You can buy tickets here.
