I know it’s completely greedy of me to be wishin’ and prayin’ for a deluxe version of Dandelion, but I just can’t help myself.
Especially after the dominating female country music star, Ella Langley, released two back-to-back stellar collabs with Morgan Wallen and Koe Wetzel over the summer; however, luckily I’m not alone in my gluttony. Fans online certainly haven’t forgotten about the handful of unreleased tracks Langley has previously teased, and still seemingly has up her sleeve.
Prior to her sophomore album’s release, there were a handful of snippets floating around the internet that fans expected to be on the project. Upon its April 10 release, though, the tracks told a different story.
Nonetheless, the album soared to the top of the charts, still currently sitting at No.4 on the Billboard Top 200 and, of course, “Choosin’ Texas” continuing to do the impossible as it currently edges towards its potential 19th week at No.1 on the Hot 100 chart. But many fans can’t help but wonder what ever happened to the few songs they thought would be sure-fire bangers.
For starters, fans could’ve sworn that the song teased within the first 10 seconds of the “Choosin’ Texas” music video would surely find its way onto the album. In the beginning scene of the iconic Stagecoach Ballroom video, you can hear Langley’s voice on the car radio singing the lyrics, “Men, don’t make her wonder, make her understand, that if its really over…”
The tune leans into a classic country ballad sound that feels all too familiar, even sounding slightly reminiscent of “Last Call For Us,” so there’s always a chance it was scrapped from the project at the last minute. Still, considering the music video featuring the snippet dropped on April 1, just days before the album’s release, it seems unlikely Langley would’ve teased it for nothing.
Then of course, there’s “Tough Guy,” which was leaked last September and many fans believed to be about Riley Green. As a fan pointed out on X, the sound was quickly removed from the platform, possibly by Langley’s management trying to prevent the leak; she decided to spare the “duckman,” or I’m reaching the age where I can be easily swindled, and this audio is simply AI.
Nonetheless, it has all the makings for another staple Langley hit. Along with the final heavy-hitter, teased in the studio back in October in a post from Ella, which @todays.country.tea on TikTok captured.
In the video, Miranda Lambert is sitting in the studio with her dog on her lap, cheesin ‘ to Langley’s vocals singing on this groovy slow song: “Oh baby don’t start leaning on in, say I’m…” The quick 20-second clip almost sounds a tad like “Low Lights” which again means it could’ve gotten scrapped in favor of the now fan favorite.
Call it wishful thinking, but as Langley continues to reach unprecedented new heights in her career and continues out on the second leg of her 2026 Dandelion tour, there’s no doubt new music would be well reciprocated from her fans and only catapult her further.
While none of these tracks are certain, at least Langley hinted that a potential acoustic version of “Choosin’ Texas” could still be on its way as we near the song’s one-year anniversary on October 17. The Alabama native responded to a fans comment pleaing for a stripped down rendition on her instagram post from earlier this week to which she responded, “Should I?”

However, there’s no guarantee when, or if, any of these tracks will ever see the light of day. But who knows, maybe they’ll eventually find a home on Langley’s third album. In a recent interview with Variety, the publication asked the “Loving Life Again” singer, “is there any genre you’d like to lean into more in the future?” to which she cheekily responded, “You’ll just have to see as we start writing for album 3.”
For now, she’ll return to her highly successful tour tonight, August 20 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, delivering yet another incredible performance alongside supporting acts ERNEST and Laci Kaye Boothe, celebrating her current trending album.
