Post Malone is once again flirting with Country music.
Aside from the big news that Post Malone (whose real name is Austin Richard Post) will be performing a medley of old country hits alongside Morgan Wallen and HARDY at the 2023 CMA Awards tomorrow night, he has also been in the studio with some of the biggest names and songwriters the genre has to offer.
In a recent Instagram post from James McNair, the two are pictured side by side with a caption that reads:
“Figured this one was worth a post! Magical day of creating with these boys!”
Aside from the clearly intentional pun in “worth a post,” McNair also tagged Ernest, who recently shared a photo of his own with Post Malone and Morgan Wallen. You can view both of those below.
As most of you are probably already aware, Post Malone has previously covered country songs such as Sturgill Simpson’s “You Can Have The Crown,” and most notably, Brad Paisley’s “I’m Gonna Miss Her,” which Brad himself even reacted to on social media, admitting he thought the rapper sang it better.
Post Malone is also apart of the 2024 lineup for Stagecoach, where he will also be hittin’ the stage to perform a medley of country covers.
Back in April, 99.3 The Bull posted a short clip asking Posty if he was going to do a country album one of these days.
“I think I’ll do it whenever the time is right.”
Well, it looks like that time may be coming soon. Check the clip out here:
