There’s never a dull moment when it comes to covering Morgan Wallen, and today proved no different. Just hours after confirming that he will once again reunite with Post Malone for a new track, “I Ain’t Coming Back,” this Friday, another brand new rumor popped up surrounding the release of I’m The Problem.
Last week, Wallen took to X, replying “Indeed sir” to a fan who asked if the “Last Night” singer would finally collaborate with a female artist on his upcoming record, given that he’s never done a duet with an artist of the opposite gender before.
This led to fans speculating who could possibly be featured on “What I Want,” with popular guesses being the likes of Ella Langley, Miranda Lambert and most notably, Megan Moroney due to their brief relationship years ago.
With all the speculation going around, Wallen followed up by taking to Instagram, saying, “I haven’t seen one person guess the female collab on this album yet.”

It seemed as if the buzz had died down a bit (at least as much as it can revolving around a new release from Wallen); however, a non-country artist just added fuel to the fire surrounding the duet.
An hour ago, pop star, Tate McRae, took to her Instagram story to post an image of a Tennessee Volunteers football jersey with the combination of “T” and “8,” a clear reference to her name. It’s well-known by this point that Wallen is a huge fan of Tennessee athletics, frequently wearing their merch; however, when you take a closer look at the jersey, things get interesting.
Where the iconic Tennessee “T” logo typically sits on the jersey is replaced with the same exact “MW” that currently serves as Wallen’s logo on his site. For visual reference, here’s a comparison between the two.

As of now, it has not been officially confirmed by either McRae or Wallen; however, all signs point to this becoming a reality when I’m The Problem releases on May 16th.
