The Internet Is Roasting Jelly Roll After He’s Seen Rushing Out Of His Nashville Bar And Not A Single Person Seems To Care: “Jelly Roll Has More Security Guards Than Fans”

    And the crowd goes… mild.

Welcome back to another installment of Jelly Roll’s great fall-off of 2026. Safe to say this year has not been filled with kind press for the 41-year-old rapper-turned-singer, formerly known as Jason DeFord. Between the inescapable news of his divorce from Bunnie XO, uncomfortable-to-watch performances on his Blue Dot Fever-ridden tour, and most recently his Jimmy Kimmel comments, the Jelly Roll fatigue is real.

With that being said, I apologize, but we need to talk about his most recent public appearance following his viral hosting gig on Kimmel’s late-night show a few weeks ago. After throwing quite a few televised jabs at President Donald Trump on the show and returning with a half-a**ed apology the following night, Jelly Roll’s fanbase has pretty much been completely isolated.

Hence why, when he was seen leaving his Nashville Bar, Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville, over the weekend, not one person on Broadway crowded outside the venue looked the least bit enthusiastic. In fact, the “Hands Up” singer rushed out of the door pretty urgently, looking around nervously like the paparazzi were going to crowd him or something.

Yet as he gave a quick wave to the crowd of people, not one person was hootin’ and hollerin’ in excitement. Not to mention, his entourage of five bodyguards came off as a bit of overkill to people online who pointed out that the “mob” he was expecting was pretty much nonexistent:

To be fair, considering the massive amount of hate and continued death threats he’s inevitably receiving, I’d be on high alert too. And while everyone keeps making the obvious joke that his career is “over,” there’s a chance we very well could see the Grammy Award winner step away from music.

During a recent interview with y’all access radio with Kelly Sutton, he admitted that “everything Jason or Jelly Roll wanted to do in the music business I’ve done now.” Hence why, at this point in his career, he says he needs to “talk to God and see if he wants me to stick around or what he wants me to do next.”

He continues sharing that he is completely content working in a homeless shelter in the middle of Kentucky if God instructed him to: “I’m outta here.” Which I guess sounds like a pretty convenient way to lay the groundwork for a slow exit from the limelight, given his increasingly disgruntled public image may be hard to repair at this point.
