Not something many artists can do.
Back in 2020, it was hard for a lot of folks to remain positive throughout the stress and unknown brought to us via the Covid-19 pandemic. From lockdowns, to summer outdoor activities (most notably concerts and festivals) being canceled, alcohol sales increased and social media consumption skyrocketed.
For some, the days dragged and there wasn’t much to look forward to. BUT, throughout all the chaos and the “six feet apart” screams at every convenience store in America, there was one saving grace – music.
Due to the strict mandates, artists were forced to find other ways to put on live performances for their fans and YouTube/Instagram live became what a lot of them turned to.
While quarantining at the Double Drop Ranch in Oakhurst, Texas, Cody Johnson put on a lengthy online acoustic show featuring some tunes out of his own catalog, along with a couple covers as well.
While no one can outdo Chris Stapleton, CoJo still gave one hell of an effort on his 2017 hit, “Either Way.”
The track was written by Stapleton, Tim James and Kendall Marvel, but was first released by Lee Ann Womack on her 2008 album, “Call Me Crazy.” Although it won an award for Best Country Solo Performance at the 60th Grammy’s, most people are more familiar with Chris Stapleton’s version from his second studio album, “From A Room: Volume 1.
