Big congrats to Luke Combs.
Last night, the 34 year-old country star performed his second set in three days at his Bootlegger Bonfire concert in Miramar Beach, Florida, alongside Ashley McBryde, Craig Morgan, Tracy Lawrence and more.
During the set (and in front of the fans), Combs was surprised with some BIG news – he will officially be inducted into Nashville’s Music City Walk of Fame on October 30th.
Luke joins the likes of Clint Black, Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, Eric Church, Alan Jackson and more in what is described as a landmark tribute to those from all genres of music who have contributed to the world through song or other industry collaboration and made a significant contribution to the music industry with connection to Music City.
When it comes to modern mainstream country, not many have been as consistent as Luke in putting out top-notch quality music. While the “Hurricane” singer is far from traditional, what you WON’T get is a bunch of snap tracks and cookie-cutter pop music with twang. And for every high-energy beer anthem, there’s twice as many love songs about his wife, his new-found fatherhood, and songs filled with reminiscing about his childhood.
Just days before his induction, Luke Combs will also be performing alongside Eric Church at the Bank of America Stadium for a sold-out show in his home state of North Carolina to raise money for those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene. All proceeds will be split 50/50 between charities of Combs and Chief’s choosing.
Music City Walk of Fame induction ceremonies are free and open to the public. Inductees will also include Jimmy Buffett, The Fairfield Four, Colin Reed, and Bill Cody.
