One of country music’s most underrated stars.

When you think of the top performing country artists of the 2010s, the obvious names probably come to mind: Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean. But one name that always seems to fall through the cracks is Justin Moore. Despite racking up an impressive ten Country Airplay number ones, Justin doesn’t seem to get the credit he deserves.

If you don’t think of yourself as a Justin Moore fan, go back through his catalog and see just how many classics he has put out since his debut in 2009. Or, better yet, take a dive into his discography and take a look at the top streaming songs from each of his seven studio albums.

A quick note: this is only full length albums, so no EPs will be included. All data comes from Spotify’s streaming numbers as of February 2024, and includes any songs included on deluxe versions of their respective albums.

    Now, onto the list.

    Justin Moore

    “Small Town USA”- 59.4 million

    “Backwoods”- 37.9 million

“I Could Kick Your Ass”- 29.7 million

“How I Got To Be This Way”- 15.5 million

    “Grandpa”- 10.2 million

Moore broke onto the scene in a big way with his self titled debut album, carried primarily by the success of “Small Town USA.” The rural anthem gave Justin his first number one at Country Airplay, and his signature twang and unashamed love of the country lifestyle made him an instant star. The album was certified platinum in 2017.

    Outlaws Like Me

    “Bait A Hook”- 55.7 million

“If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away”- 51.7 million

“Til My Last Day”- 34.9 million

Flyin’ Down a Back Road”- 16.7 million

“Bed Of My Chevy”- 11.7 million

Outlaws Like Me was the perfect album to show audiences Justin can do more than just dirt road jams. “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” is one of the most powerful tear jerkers to hit country radio in the last 15 years, and “Til My Last Day” showed his ability to cut a love song when needed. Of course, that small town boy was still there, and he wouldn’t let you forget it on “Bait a Hook.”

    Off The Beaten Path

“Lettin’ The Night Roll”- 47.0 million

    “Point At You”- 30.3 million

“Off The Beaten Path”- 9.1 million

“I’d Want It To Be Yours”- 6.1 million

“For Some Ol’ Redneck Reason”- 4.9 million

One of the more forgotten records from Justin, Off The Beaten Path came at a transition point in country music. 2013 was the peak of the bro country boom, and more traditional sounds like Moore’s were forced to adapt. Justin tried his hand at a bro track with “Lettin’ The Night Roll,” and didn’t do a half bad job, but it was good to see him get back to his roots later in his career.

    Kinda Don’t Care

    “Somebody Else Will”- 63.4 million

    “Kinda Don’t Care”- 47.8 million

“You Look Like I Need A Drink”- 44.4 million

    “More Middle Fingers”- 14.0 million

“Hell On A Highway”- 12.5 million

If someone asked you what peak Justin Moore looked like, it’s Kinda Don’t Care. He slips between bitter and heartbroken on “You Look Like I Need A Drink” to laid back on “Kinda Don’t Care” to infatuated on “Somebody Else Will” with such ease. The album is one of the most complete of Moore’s career, and marked his third straight record hitting number one on the U.S. Country Album chart.

    Late Nights and Longnecks

    “Why We Drink”- 78.9 million

“The Ones Who Didn’t Make It Back Home”- 78.8 million

“Someday I Gotta Quit”- 11.0 million

“Jesus and Jack Daniels”- 5.9 million

    “On The Rocks”- 5.1 million

Country music and drinking songs are practically synonymous, and “Why We Drink” is one of the best drinking song of the 2010s. The fact that it came on the same record as the beautiful “The Ones Who Didn’t Make It Back Home” only further shows Moore’s artistic range. The album is a fan favorite, leading Justin to release a deluxe version nearly four years after the original this past September.

    Straight Outta The Country

“We Didn’t Have Much”- 83.5 million

“She Ain’t Mine No More”- 3.4 million

    “Hearing Things”- 2.0 million

    “More Than Me”- 2.0 million

    “Consecutive Days Alive”- 2.0 million

Including Straight Outta The Country might be cheating, as the album is only eight songs, but it felt wrong to leave off Justin’s top streamed song to date in “We Didn’t Have Much.” The record could honestly have been split between Late Nights and Longnecks and Stray Dog, but there are still a few quality tracks, including one of his best deep cuts, “More Than Me.”

    Stray Dog

“You, Me, and Whiskey”- 47.5 million

“With A Woman You Love”- 37.4 million

    “Stray Dogs”- 4.6 million

    “Everybody Get Along”- 2.5 million

“Get Rich Or Drunk Trying”- 1.0 million

Moore’s most recent release is still picking up steam, so it’s hard to judge the streaming numbers quite yet, but the commercial success has been strong. His duet “You, Me, and Whiskey” with Priscilla Block was a top 5 hit on Country Airplay, and “With A Woman You Love” gave him the most recent of his ten number one radio hits.
