On Wednesday evening (April 3), Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots took the stage at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee to host their 7th annual Million Dollar Show, raising $215,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in a one-of-a-kind performance that featured a plethora of surprise stars.
Bobby Bones — as well as his iHeartRadio show, The Bobby Bones Show — is no stranger to supporting St. Jude, raising more than $24.8 million for the children’s research hospital since 2014. A great deal of this cash came from the Million Dollar Show, which has featured performances from country superstars like Brooks & Dunn, Brett Young, Parker McCollum, Lainey Wilson and more in the past.
This year, the lineup featured performances from Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots, of course, as well as Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi, Megan Moroney, Ben Rector, Ian Munsick, Nate Smith, Mat Kearney, Edwin McCain, Grace Bowers and Lauren Watkins. Some stars made a surprise appearance as well, with rock band Lit taking the stage to perform songs like “My Own Worst Enemy” and “Miserable,” as well as country band Turnpike Troubadours taking the stage to perform songs like“Diamonds & Gasoline” and “Good Lord Lorrie.”
As if the evening could not get any better, Post Malone — a world-renowned artist who has recently been dipping his toe into the country music industry — took the stage at the Ryman Auditorium to close out the 7th annual Million Dollar Show, making his unofficial Ryman debut by performing “Honky Tonk Blues” by Hank Wiliams, as well as his own song “Stay,” to the crowd.
With how sensational the evening was for all attendees, the 7th annual Million Dollar Show raised $215,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an impressive feat that Bobby Bones shared with his 1M followers via Instagram shortly afterwards.
“Year 7. That was good. I’m tired. Thank you for coming and helping raise money for @stjude. Together we’ve raised 24.8M dollars. These are a lot of the originals. Still together. And thanks to my dude @reidyarberry . He’s with me practically everyday. Shooting everything. Editing everything. I’ll miss him when he leaves. Also, @mrscaitlinestell , you are so pretty. You said “get Post Malone” and “get Turnpike.” So we did!!!! 😍”
Naturally, country superstars flooded the comment section of the post to share their support, from George Birge to Tigirlily Gold to Runaway June and beyond.
