Described as “Country Music’s Party of the Year,” the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards will return to to Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on May 16, streaming to an audience of country music lovers worldwide via Prime Video. Today (April 9), the official nominations for the ACM Awards were announced on The Bobby Bones Show, and it looks like some of the biggest names in the industry as of late received quite a few nods.

Luke Combs leads the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards nominations with eight — Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, Music Event of the Year and more — marking the fifth year in a row that he has been nominated for both Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the Year, while Megan Moroney and Morgan Wallen follow shortly afterwards with six. Other notable nominees are Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson with five, Jelly Roll and Jordan Davis with four and Kelsea Ballerini and Zach Bryan with three.

Jelly Roll is in the running for Entertainer of the Year — with this nod serving as one of his first three ACM Award nominations — ultimately setting records at the award show before it even begins. The last artist to be up for for Entertainer of the Year during their first year of being nominated was Billy Ray Cyrus in 1992, with Jelly Roll trumping that record in 2024. Aside from Jelly Roll, other first time ACM Award nominees include Flatland Cavalry, Tyler Childers, Ashley Cooke, Kameron Marlowe, Conner Smith and more.

Speaking of Entertainer of the Year, if either Luke Combs or Lainey Wilson takes home the trophy, they will be among the prestigious group that has received ACM’s Triple Crown Award. Past recipients of ACM’s Triple Crown Award — which consists of an Entertainer of the Year win, plus victories in their new artist and artist categories, respectively — include Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and more.
