After years of covering Gretchen Wilson’s 2004 hit at her shows, Ella Langley has officially joined forces with the “Redneck Women” herself for a reimagined duet.
Marking the first collaboration from Wilson’s upcoming Here For The Party reboot album, set to release in 2027, given Langley’s devoted track record to performing this song, she was a perfect fit for the title track. Last night, the two most bada** women in country music debuted their rendition for the first time on television during CMA’s 2026 Concert Special on ABC.
What better way to kick off the three-hour-long party than with this early 2000s rowdy staple? Donning their all-black attire, country music’s chart-topping dominator strutted from backstage alongside Wilson before hopping on two quads rushing down the hallway.
Shaking her fringe pants, Langley took the reins on the track’s first verse with Wilson joining in on the second verse, sounding almost identical to the original recording. Safe to say the crowd’s erupting screams were a reflection of the two’s absolutely iconic performance.
While the pre-recorded performance officially aired last night, followed by their ready-to-stream newly released track dropping at midnight, this epic crossover actually took place a few weeks back on CMA Fest’s Thursday kick-off on June 4. Later in the night, Langley also returned to perform her unstoppable anthem, “Choosin’ Texas,” along with some of her other Dandelion album staples such as the title track, “Be Her,” and “Loving Life Again.”
With the unbeatable live performance now available to stream along with the rest of CMA Fest streaming on Hulu, fans lucky enough to see Langley on the continuation of her headlining arena tour this year may also get to see her perform her solo rendition of the track live, as it continues to maintain its spot on her setlist. This is also only the start for Wilson and her reimagined debut collaboration album to come with plenty of other star-studded duets up her sleeve.
