It’s almost that time of year again…
With the holiday season quickly approaching, the Country Music Association has officially revealed the lineup for this year’s CMA Country Christmas, which returns to ABC on Tuesday, December 1, at 9/8c.
Now in its 17th year, the annual holiday television special will once again bring together a variety of country artists for a night of Christmas music, festive performances, and a little holiday cheer.
This year’s show will be hosted by country trio Lady A, who will also be taking the stage to perform. Joining them on the lineup are Zach Top, Dan + Shay, Jordan Davis, Russell Dickerson, Trisha Yearwood, Grace Bowers, Lindsey Stirling, BeBe Winans, and Debbie Winans.
One of the more interesting names on this year’s lineup is Zach Top, whose traditional country sound has made him one of the genre’s fastest-rising stars. It’ll be interesting to see what Christmas classic he decides to put his signature ’90s country spin on.
Filmed in front of a live audience in Nashville, the special will feature performances of familiar holiday favorites, with each artist bringing their own style to the Christmas classics.
CMA Country Christmas first debuted back in 2010 and has since become an annual tradition for country music fans, with a rotating lineup of performers celebrating the holiday season each year.
Of course, before we get to CMA Country Christmas, there’s also the 60th annual CMA Awards to look forward to. Country Music’s Biggest Night is set to take place on Wednesday, November 18, at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Fans can tune in to the awards ceremony live on ABC at 8/7c, with the show available to stream the following day on Hulu.
And then fans can also tune in to CMA Country Christmas on Tuesday, December 1, at 9/8c on ABC, with the full special available to stream the following day on Disney+ and Hulu.
