What a helluva run these boys are on.
Today, Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” holds the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for a 12th week, while Luke Comb’s cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” jumps to No. 2
With those two songs simultaneously claiming the top two spots on the chart, it makes the first time two Country artists have done it since 1981 when Eddie Rabbitt’s “I Love A Rainy Night” was at No. 1 and Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” was at No. 2.
Billboard’s Hot 100 chart includes U.S. Streaming, radio airplay and sales data across all genres.
“Last Night“ is also No. 1 on Country Airplay for its 8th week, tying for the chart’s second longest run in history. Luke’s version of Fast Car has also recently surpassed Tracy Chapman’s highest position, which peaked at No. 6 back in 1988.
