The plot continues to thicken.
After publicly breaking up on October 22nd, it seems as if the relationship between Zach Bryan and Brianna LaPaglia, also known as Brianna Chickenfry, seems to get messier and messier as each day passes. Initially, Bryan took to Instagram and posted a lengthy story announcing the breakup which read:
“Addressing something: Brianna and me have broken up with eachother and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her. I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways. I am not perfect and never will be. Please respect Brianna’s privacy and space in this and if you have it in your heart, mine too. With everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself.”
LaPaglia would later post on her Instagram story minutes later to address the breakup, saying, “I’m feeling really blindsided right now. Gonna hop off social media for a while and attempt to heal privately, when I’m ready I’ll be back and ready to talk. I love you guys so much thank you for all of your kind words. Remember you are so loved and everything’s always gonna be okay.”
Things seemed to settle down for a bit, and the drama seemed to die down. However, that all changed yesterday when fellow BFFs host and Barstool founder, Dave Portnoy, teamed up with Josh Richards to release a diss track targeting Bryan loosely titled after Taylor Swift’s “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.”
They took an incredible amount of shots at the “Something in the Orange” singer. From likening Bryan to a Tyler Childers clone, to mentioning his alleged cheating on his ex-wife, Rose Elisabeth Madden, to seemingly confirming the rumor that Bryan was too drunk to perform at the second night of Noah Kahan’s Fenway Park show, the pair did not hold back in the slightest.
The BFFs podcast also announced that they would be airing a tell-all episode with LaPaglia telling her side of the incredibly messy breakup at 8 p.m. ET.
In the meantime, Bryan has also been busy, releasing two new songs, “This World’s A Giant” and “High Road,” over the course of the last 24 hours, the latter being dropped at the same exact time the podcast aired.
Despite Bryan trying to draw attention away from the podcast, it was revealed that he offered LaPagila a staggering $12 million NDA to not speak about the relationship. The NDA, as stated by the podcast host, ranged from $10-12 million, a house and a New York apartment, among other things.
“They started low, then they went up to ten million, then they went up to twelve million, then they wanted to give me a house, then they wanted to give me a New York apartment, then they wanted to do all these things,” LaPaglia said.
In her eyes, this was Bryan’s final attempt to control her and the narrative controlling their relationship, “That was his final shot at still controlling me and controlling my life with that money and with him being able to walk away like, I did a good thing. You know, I gave her all this money, who cares about everything I did?”
She also detailed that she received these offers a mere “seconds” after the pair broke up, “The second we broke up, the second he posts that text, I said, ‘F*ck you.’ I don’t want your money. I don’t want a settlement. I don’t know who you think I am, but that’s not me.”
