Country music is being represented in Chicago this year.
This morning, Lollapalooza (typically known for alternative punk rock, heavy metal, hip hop, and electronic dance music), officially announced the lineup for their 2024 festival and it included some of country’s hottest rising acts.
Headliners for the diverse, four-day event include The Killers, Tyler the Creator, Blink 182, Hozier, Skrillex and more. The country acts, however, will feature Megan Moroney, Tanner Usrey, Sam Barber, Treaty Oak Revival, Kaitlin Butts and Josiah and the Bonnevilles.
Lollapalooza runs from August 1-4 at Grant Park and features over a whopping 170 total acts. While many in the comments are complaining about this year’s lineup (because of course they are, it’s the internet), fans of all genres (including country) should be excited this go around.
This isn’t the first time country music has made its way into Lollapalooza, however. Last year country fans got to experience Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wade, The Red Clay Strays and Texas rocker, Austin Meade.
