She’s back.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Reba McEntire is starring in a brand new sitcom titled “Happy’s Place,” and we are officially one week away from the premiere on NBC.
Although fans were hoping for a reboot of Reba’s beloved original sitcom (also titled ‘Reba’), this new series will reunite Melissa Peterman (who played Barbra Jean alongside McEntire from 2001 to 2007), with her now-sister, Bobbie.
Bobbie (played by Reba), inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the twenty-something half-sister she never knew she had.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a Reba sitcom if the 69 year-old country legend didn’t perform the theme-song as she did with the iconic “I’m A Survivor” over twenty years ago. With the premiere date set for October 18th at 8p.m., the official theme-song for “Happy’s Place” is available on all streaming platforms as of today.
“I’m so happy for the opportunity to write the theme song for ‘Happy’s Place’ with my good friend, Carole King. It just doesn’t get much better than that! I hope my fans will love this song as much as they did the theme song for the ‘Reba’ show.”
“Happy’s Place” is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group. The series is created by Kevin and Julie Abbott. Writer Kevin Abbott executive produces alongside Reba McEntire, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry and Pamela Fryman.
