Country’s finest.
Back in 2017, Chris Stapleton and George Strait (as well as a handful of others) took the stage together to perform Strait’s 1993 classic, “When Did You Stop Loving Me.“
The song was the third and final single from Strait’s “Pure Country” album and the performance was at a benefit concert to raise money for Hurricane Harvey victims. When it was all said and done, they ended up raising over 40 million dollars.
Even though he was one of the performers himself, Chris didn’t take the moment for granted:
“If you don’t think growing up listening to George Strait and then getting up here and singing with him is the coolest thing you’ll ever do, let me tell ya that it is. Made the hairs on my arm stand up.”
The event included other performances from Blake Shelton, Dave Matthews and more, but my personal favorite (of course) was Chris and George.

I love George and Chris are both wonderful entertainers. This song was a tear jerker for sure. George you are still the King. Chris your a very close 2nd. I love and thank you both!
