“We’ve Been Back And Forth Communicating” – Creed Teases Potential Collaboration With Zach Bryan

Country music has seen some wild collaborations throughout its time, but 2025 has taken it to a whole new level. This year alone, genre-blending tracks have kept the genre interesting and unpredictable. From Cody Johnson’s Mexican-influenced duet with Carin León, “She Hurts Like Tequila,” to Bailey Zimmerman teaming up with BigXthaPlug on the trap-infused “All The Way,” we thought we’d seen it all.

That is, until a surprising interview clip began making the rounds online. In a truly unexpected twist, iconic ’90s rock band Creed revealed during an interview with Billboard at Stagecoach that their dream country collaboration is none other than Zach Bryan.

“We’ve been back and forth communicating with Zach for a while now, and so it seems like an organic thing is happening there, so stay tuned,” the band teased.

Earlier in the interview, Creed discussed their decision to perform at Stagecoach and acknowledged how their music has increasingly been intertwined with the country scene, especially among younger artists. Lead singer Scott Stapp noted that artists like HARDY and Zach Bryan have openly said they grew up listening to Creed.

While the idea of a Creed-Zach Bryan collab may sound unusual, it’s not entirely out of left field. Creed performed during Stagecoach’s Saturday night lineup on April 26, while Bryan headlined the festival the night before. Clearly a genuine fan, Bryan stuck around for day two and was even spotted in the crowd belting out the lyrics to Creed’s “One Last Breath.”

Creed’s resurgence in popularity, particularly on social media, has introduced them to a whole new generation of fans. Despite not releasing new music since 2009, their hits, especially tracks like “One Last Breath” and “Higher,” have gone viral on TikTok, turning them into a nostalgic yet fresh presence that connects millennials and Gen Z.

Still, there’s the unanswered question of what a collaboration between Zach and Creed would even sound like. While there is some rock overlap in their styles, Bryan and Stapp have very different vocal tones. That said, Bryan has proven he can make unconventional duets work. His upcoming album, The Great American Bar Scene, features unexpected pairings like “Sandpaper” with Bruce Springsteen and “Better Days” with John Mayer.

Since the last 2024 album dropped, fans have been on the edge of their seats, begging Bryan to release more new music. Being the king of teasing, he is still consistently posting snippets of songs to Instagram, beckoning that an album is on the way. Whether or not this will come true in 2025 or if Creed will make an appearance on the tracklist is up in the air, but it certainly has added some excitement to the radar.
