An unexpected crossover.
Wyatt Flores has been one of the busiest artists in the genre lately. From appearing with fellow indie star Evan Honer on “Take Me As I Come,” to collaborating with Sierra Hull on a killer cover of Tyler Childers’ “Shake the Frost,” the “Milwaukee” singer seems to be collecting crossovers every other week. Last night in Nashville, Flores added Gavin DeGraw to the growing list of artists collaborated with.
The performance took place at Skydeck on Broadway in Nashville as a part of a free outdoor concert set up by Whiskey Jam. The concert featured the likes of Koe Wetzel, Dylan Marlowe, Austin Snell and MacKenzie Porter.
Flores, however, decided to throw a curveball towards the end of his seven song set, covering DeGraw’s “I Don’t Want to Be” before DeGraw himself came out to help sing his 2x platinum hit.
This isn’t the first time DeGraw has crossed over into the country sphere. Back in 2018, the “Not Over You” singer appeared on Brett Young’s 2018 album, “Ticket to L.A.” on the track, “Chapters.”
