Jason Aldean is officially working on new music.
Just moments ago, the 47 year-old country star shared a video to his Instagram story of him and his band back in the studio working on what one would assume is a brand new album.
Aldean released his last record, “Highway Desperado,” back in November of last year, and with his tour of the same name wrapping up just a couple weeks ago, it looks like he is right on schedule. If timing and previous release dates throughout his 20-year career are any indication of when you should expect this new record from the “Dirt Road Anthem” singer, fall of 2025 is probably a sure bet.
Outside of music, Aldean has inserted himself into politics over the last few years, voicing his support for former president and current Republican nominee, Donald Trump. Between spending New Years Eve together at Mar-a-Lago in 2022 and sitting next to each other at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee back in August, Jason and his wife, Brittany, have become good friends with Trump and his family.
The former president was also notably an active supporter of the recent ACM Artist of the Decade’s highly controversial #1 hit, “Try That In a Small Town,” back in 2023. He defended the song during the peak of its controversy, saying, “Jason Aldean is a fantastic guy who just came out with a great new song. Support Jason all the way. MAGA!!!”
And last night, with just two weeks before Election Day, Jason Aldean introduced Trump at a Georgia rally organized by Turning Point USA, saying: “He’s a president who when knocked down, gets back up, raises his fist in the air and says ‘fight.”
Aldean has released eleven studio albums (twelve if you count his Macon, Georgia project as two releases), and shows no signs off slowing down. Since releasing his self-titled, debut record in July of 2005, the superstar has garnered almost 30 No. 1 hits, has won Entertainer of the Year at the ACM’s three times, and has been nominated a whopping 65x at the Grammy’s, solidifying himself as one of the biggest artists in country music history.
