“We Are Watching the New Queen of Country Music Bloom Right In Front of Our Eyes” – The Internet Reacts to Ella Langley’s “Sneaky Jammy” New Single ‘Dandelion’

Ella Langley has come to the rescue to defrost everyone’s winter blues with her latest single, “Dandelion.”

Released today, January 30, at midnight, the flouncy, melodic track once again proves that the Alabamian singer-songwriter can do no wrong. It also serves as a promising preview of her corresponding upcoming album, Dandelion, set to drop on April 10.

Beckoning in a new era of revitalization and grounding herself in her roots, Langley delivers another undeniably earworm for fans, co-produced alongside Miranda Lambert and Ben West. In a behind-the-scenes clip from production in the studio, she perfectly describes the track as “sneaky jammy.”

Using the dandelion flower as a symbol of her “wildflower roots,” the track reflects Langley’s down-to-earth preferences like Jack over champagne, dirt roads over crystal vases, and, of course, being an overlooked weed amongst a garden of roses. She shouts out her upbringing with the first verses, “There’s things I can’t change, like how I was raised, the Bible in my blood, and the ‘Bama in my veins.”

Following the massive success of her previous single, “Choosin’ Texas,” which amassed 18 million streams last week and topped the Billboard streaming song chart for the first time, fans are already spewing the same support for “Dandelion.” In the comments on the song’s visualizer and across Langley’s Instagram posts, many are hyping it up to be a sure-fire spring/summer hit.

And of course, continuing on with the inescapable “great country music love triangle of 2025,” people still can’t help but draw parallels between leading women, Langley, and Megan Moroney. Moroney, who’s also gearing up to release her new album,Cloud 9, on February 20, has gone all in on a pink aesthetic for the project. One commenter referenced the irony of the line from the song, “Ain’t a pink bouquet in the flower store.”

Other artists and friends of Langley chimed in on the comments to send their support. Her fellow mee-maw and tomato sauce-making singer-songwriter, Emily Ann Roberts, wrote, “This is bam,” and I couldn’t agree more.

With the promises of 18 songs on the way (including “Choosin’ Texas” and “Dandelion”), it’s hard not to also get excited about the thought of hearing the 26-year-old return to the stage to perform these new tracks. Inevitably, with any major album release, it’s customary that the artist will announce a corresponding tour. With many fans receiving cryptic text messages with city names from Langley’s fan headquarters, it’s most likely only a matter of time before this big news drops as well.
