Apparently, I need to start hanging out at Losers on random Tuesday nights instead of watching Netflix in bed.
The Nashville bar was the place to be yesterday, February 10, with both Koe Wetzel and Fox N’ Vead randomly taking over the stage at the Midtown joint. A recent clip posted by @koeskonvicts on TikTok and another from @imtheonlymikey show Wetzel joined by the duo of Christian Vead and Logan Fox for a banging performance of Wetzel’s 2016 track, “Fuss and Fight.”
The nearly 10-year-old track from Wetzel’s iconic album, Noise Complaint, remains a staple in his discography, with over 74 million streams on Spotify. There’s something about him performing it, accompanied by some gritty instrumentals and a “Band Tips” jar in front of him, that instantly transports you back to his early days playing Texas dive bars.
For those who aren’t familiar with the outlaw country/alternative rock band from Concord, NC, Fox N’ Vead released their first official album, Coulda Been Something, back in 2023. With an electric sound reminiscent of some of Koe’s rock-heavy tracks, you have to listen to “Holy Water” and “Waste Away” to fully appreciate how awesome this crossover is.
According to Fox N’ Vead’s recent post, the impromptu performance is thanks to “2 rumplemintz shots” and may have doubled as a little practice run before Wetzel heads out into several months of festival dates and an upcoming tour in Australia. This also comes just a week after his most recent February 6 release, “Time Goes On,” which is hopefully the precursor to a full-length project to come in 2026 (and fingers crossed, many more pop-up performances).
