Country music enthusiast and avid drinker of alcohol. Old Aldean is better than your favorite artist. (except for Zach Top)

Now THIS is a cool video to watch. Back in 2021, Facebook user Brad Mckinney posted a video of Chris Stapleton performing at the Kentucky Opry in what seems to be around the year 1999. Of course, “Traveller” probably wasn’t even thought of at that moment, so Chris did a cover of Lonestar’s classic hit, “Amazed.” Written by Marv Green, Aimee Mayo and Chris Lindsey, Amazed was released in March of 1999 as the second single from the band’s third studio album “Lonely Grill.”  It went on to spend eight weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country chart, making the power Ballard…

We need a cover album ASAP. It’s no secret (or at least it shouldn’t be anyway), that Zach Top is emerging himself as one of the biggest country artists in the genre. While Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan overwhelmingly dominate streaming numbers, Top is bringing back that traditional 80’s and 90’s sound country music fans clearly still crave, and doing it extremely well I might add. While his original music, especially the songs from his recent sophomore studio album, “Cold Beer & Country Music,” are nothing short of incredible, the man does every artist before him justice when he adds his smooth and twangy vocals into the mix.…

Getting another shot. Back in July of last year, Ingrid Address stood in front of thousands of people at the MLB Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas, and delivered what can only be described as one of, if not thee, worst National Anthem performances ever seen by a recording artist. The very next day, she released a statement on social media apologizing to fans and admitted to being intoxicated during the performance. She also announced that she was checking herself into rehab. If you know, you know. Today isn’t just any ol’ regular day, it’s a day where country and rock fans, alcoholics and pot-heads, taco-bell lovers, people of Texas and beyond, and well…all of us on social media, come together to celebrate the drunken actions made by Koe Wetzel on this date 9 years ago. After getting arrested for public intoxication in Stephenville, Texas, where he found himself cozied up in a jail cell for a couple days, the Texas rocker was able to put the finishing touches on what would become one of his most popular songs to date, “February 28th, 2016.”…

One of my favorite songs of all time. Many believe that if Keith Whitley were still alive today, he would’ve given George Strait a run for his money as the current titleholder of the “King of country music.” Unfortunately, Keith passed away in May of 1989 from alcohol poisoning, but not before giving country fans some of the most timeless hits over the course of his brief, 5-year career. Along with “When You Say Nothing At All,” which was also recorded by Alison Krauss in 1995, “Don’t Close Your Eyes” might be the biggest out of the five No. 1’s…
