After an incredible 12 months that included the 2023 Country Music Association (CMA) Entertainer of the Year award along with a recently announced Nashville bar and a Top 10 all-genre album with Whirlwind, Lainey Wilson continues her hot streak, joining Luke Bryan and 5x NFL MVP, Peyton Manning, as co-host for this year’s CMA Awards.
This morning, as reported by Variety, Wilson, who’s up for four awards including Entertainer of the Year, will join Bryan and Manning, who’ve hosted the awards show for the past two years, as the first female co-host of the show since Carrie Underwood ended her 12-year run in 2019.
In the same Variety article, Wilson said, “I could not be more excited to host the CMA Awards this year with Luke and Peyton. It’s such an incredible honor and something I’ve always dreamed of doing.”
The legendary quarterback also added, “The past two years have been a lot of fun, and I know Lainey is going to bring a special flare. Hopefully, she can keep Luke in line.”
The CMA Awards will air live on ABC at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee at 7 p.m. CT on November 20 and will be available to watch on Hulu the following day.
