“Crank your love with me”…?
Don’t worry, you’re not having a stroke and totally just read that song title correctly. In fact, that just so happens to be one of TikTok’s latest country hip hop fusion creations by viral TikToker, @pwr.hungy.
While the Tennessee-based user, “power” hungry, does not claim to be a full-blown DJ, he has built a generous following of almost fifty thousand followers, mashing up some of country music’s greatest hits with R&B/Hip-Hop tracks. One of his more recent and most popular being Kacey Musgraves’ 2026 release, “Dry Spell,” and the iconic Ginuwine “Magic Mike” soundtrack hit, “Pony,” with a whopping over 9.3 MILLION VIEWS.
His other top-viewed videos include Lil John’s “Act a D*mn Fool” with Shania Twain’s “Any Man of Mine” and Alan Jackson’s “Good Time” with Waka Flocka Flame’s “O Let’s Do It.” A personal favorite of mine is Luke Combs’ “One Number Away” with “Swag Surfin'” that even the country superstar approved of in the comments saying, “Welp, this is gonna become my whole personality now.”
I can’t lie, a lot of these mixes would go pretty hard in the club or at a workout class. You just can’t help but bob your head along to the so random yet oh-so perfect beats.
However, the at-home DJ recently posted one mix-up in particular that had even me thinking we’ve gone too far. Earlier this month, he took it upon himself to mash up George Strait’s 1997 double-platinum classic hit, “Carrying Your Love With Me,” with none other than Soulja Boy’s iconic 2007 debut single, “Crank That.”
Even if the clip did subconsciously get me doing a little dance while listening, there’s simply something about crankin’ the Soulja Boy to The King’s chart-topping love song that just doesn’t sit right with me. At the same time, I gotta give the guy points for creativity.
A few days later, he kept the ball rolling with a similar 90s country/early 2000’s hip-hop crossover, using both Randy Travis’ “Deeper Than The Holler” and Twista’s “Slow Jamz,” which is equally as diabolical. But hey, if @pwr.hungry ever decides he wants an official gig, this is exactly the kind of DJ I want at my future wedding because what better track to walk down the aisle to than “Forever After All X Gucci Mane.”
