Ahead of the September release of his ninth studio album, Luke Bryan has been hinting at more “signs” of new music to come.
On Tuesday, the Georgia-native posted a snapshot of him filming something in a field with the elusive caption, “New song coming soon…” Sure enough, today Bryan teased a snippet of the forthcoming track with an Instagram story also featuring the potential title or lyrics, “Out Here Making Memories.”
Captioning the post with the chorus’s lyrics, “you took the same night… and made it a memory,” the tune yields a classic Bryan sound with some light-hearted storytelling and belting lyrics talking about his Chevy truck bed full of empties. Upon hearing the clip, fans couldn’t help but be pleased to see he’s finally back to his “old self.”
Safe to say that after his May 11 viral track, “Fish Hunt Golf Drink,” the bar was pretty low for whatever Bryan had up his sleeve next. Despite its hilariously goofy lyrics, the song, which many claimed was a “product of AI,” now has over 1.4 million streams thanks to the massive (mostly negative) coverage it received.
Trending or not, Bryan wasn’t having it with the criticism, making it very clear in the comment section of one heated user’s video that he wasn’t backing down from his latest anthem. After TikToker @jiujitsuweasel claimed the song sounded like it was made by a four-year-old using AI, Bryan defended his “climb tree” track, responding, “It’s called a fun song… Go get a boat, quit scrolling on your phone all day.”
Oh, and of course, he also commented back with my personal favorite line, “Who are you? Chill on the adderall.”
Marking his fourth soon-to-be release from Signs, following the kitschy bro-country track and its predecessors, “Country And She Knows It,” and “Word on the Street,” this song is certainly a return to normalcy. While it may not reclaim his chart-topping status as the next big hit or even be a prominent single from the album, it at least sounds like an atypical Luke Bryan song.
Fans agreed in the comments section, noting that it’s certainly an improvement in the right direction:

No matter what, though, Luke Bryan is bound to have fun, and that’s what we love about him, even if every song isn’t considered the pinnacle of artistry. Bringing his high energy and endlessly entertaining stage presence with the surprise of never knowing what’s gonna come out of his mouth next, the five-time ACM Entertainer of the Year winner is currently continuing out on his Word on the Street tour.
He’ll return to the stage tonight, June 18, in Wichita, Kansas, with a packed string of dates throughout the rest of the summer, including a few co-headlining stops with Jason Aldean on their Double Down Tour, followed by his upcoming 2026 Fall Farm Tour.
