Happy Halloween, y’all.
At this point, Jason and Brittany Aldean have become a bit of a staple in the genre when it comes to Halloween. Dressing up as everyone from Joe Exotic, Han Solo and Chewbacca from Star Wars and Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones, the couple have always brought their A game when it comes to costumes.
Recently, Jason and Aldean have transitioned to making full-length skits for Halloween. In the last three years, the couple did a cover of “Islands In The Stream” dressed up as Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, an Anchorman parody dressed up as Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate’s characters and most recently, a political comedy skit featuring Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
This year, they decided to take it up a notch, dressing up as Will Ferrell and John C. Riley’s characters, Brennan and Dale, from the classic 2000s comedy, Step Brothers.
Not only did the couple dress up as Ferrell and Riley’s iconic characters, they also released a two minute video on social media reenacting some of the film’s most famous moments, including the always-classic, “Did we just become best friends?” scene complete with references to Luke Bryan’s “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” and even Donald Trump.
Though the aforementioned scene is typically viewed as the best from the film, Jason and Brittany’s reenactment of Will Ferrell’s character singing for the first time is easily the best bit in the video. Here, Jason poorly sings his 2009 #1 hit, “The Truth,” with Brittany hilariously replying that he “sounds like a mix between Jason Aldean and Whitney Houston.”
It looks like Aldean will be signing to Prestige Worldwide any day now.
