There’s absolutely no better feeling in this world than falling in love with an album from start to finish and finding yourself coming back to listen to it in its entirety time after time again.
And believe it or not, it’s a pretty tough feat to accomplish, especially considering everyone’s attention spans have diminished in today’s soul-sucking, technology-driven world. While it may not be true for everyone, unfortunately, songs often get skipped if they don’t hook listeners immediately with a catchy melody or unforgettable lyric on impact.
So for an album to keep you absorbed from the very first note all the way through until the ending track, without you once reaching for the skip button, it’s a pretty big deal. That’s when you know you’ve just found a lifelong favorite that will stay on rotation.
With that being said, we asked our followers and loyal country music fans to give their input on what they believe are certifiable “10/10 country albums with zero skips,” and they did not disappoint. Obviously, with this being an extremely subjective question and the various tastes of country music sub-genres, there was a wide variety of responses that not everybody will agree on.
There was a slew of obvious responses like Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous and I’m The Problem (which arguably could be backed up by both albums’ continued success over the years), and of course, Ella Langley’s Dandelion (which I 100% stand behind as the perfect response). Other fans also named trending projects of the decade, including Zach Top’s Cold Beer And Country Music, Treaty Oak’s Have A Nice Day, and Zach Bryan’s American Heartbreak.
The comment section also reflected a widespread love for many Turnpike Troubadour classics like Diamonds and Gasoline or the more recent The Price of Admission, along with Eric Church’s Chief and Jason Aldean’s Wide Open/My Kinda Party. We’d also be remiss to forget about the country classics of the ’80s and ’90s like George Strait’s Strait from the Heart, Toby Keith’s Shock’N Y’all, and Keith Whitley’s L.A. to Miami.
Shoutout to the one person who also gave a nod to the red dirt necessities on Facebook and provided a whole list of staple Texas country albums.
