Let me preface this by apologizing for filling your feed with more tabloid-esque drama, but hey, at least it’s a break from this morning’s nonstop election headlines.
And might I just clarify that I think we can officially stop referring to the Ella Langley and Tucker Wetmore dating allegations as purely ‘gossip’ and jump the gun here to say that these two definitely have something going on. While the two country music stars have yet to publicly confirm their relationship status, between leaving the Nashville Songwriter Awards together and Wetmore’s dodgy response to a fan’s prying about Langley, their latest spotting together only adds fuel to the fire.
Last month, the “Dandelion” singer and Wetmore were both headliners at the Salt Lake City, Utah-based festival, RedWest. Langley took the stage as night one’s headliner on October 16, followed by a double headlining set from Sam Barber and Wetmore on Saturday, October 17. Fans had already begun speculating that the “Brunette” lover arrived early to catch Langley’s set after he was spotted hanging out with Koe Wetzel (who also performed on Friday) in an Instagram photo dump from the weekend.
A few weeks ago, I might’ve chalked it up to Wetmore simply being a huge Koe fan (and rightfully so). But then again, it’s a little unusual for an artist to show up to a festival a day early, considering most performers tend to roll into town the day of their set. And as many fans suspected, it seems Wetmore may not have made the early trip solely to hear “Drunk Driving” live.
TikTok user @Ivyolson peeped Wetmore hanging out side stage during Langley’s set and captured a clip of him cheesin’ ear to ear during her performance of “Butterfly Season.” And judging by that beaming smile and seemingly mesmerized expression, I have a hard time believing that’s just a coincidence, folks.
I have a feeling we won’t be getting any official relationship confirmation from these two anytime soon, let alone a surprise joint appearance on the CMA Awards red carpet. But hey, I’m just happy our girl might be one step closer to living out that back porch, no makeup, oversized T-shirt, cooking steaks with her man fantasy she can’t stop talking about.
