We’ve got some true boots-on-the-ground journalism today thanks to a random Kentucky man on Facebook who just so happened to be vacationing in the same spot as country music superstars Ella Langley and Tucker Wetmore.
Or honestly, I should say Ella and Tucker just so happened to be vacationing in the same spot as Jay, because he’s now become a newfound personal celebrity. The unsuspecting man is apparently a proud father, husband, real estate agent, and most recently the source behind the latest fuel for the two singers’ budding relationship.
I’d also like to add I do not know this man AT ALL, but he’s pretty d*mn funny.
The Kentucky local headed out to the Virgin Islands just yesterday for a getaway (which I thoroughly enjoyed learning about thanks to all his avid Facebook updates). Keeping true to his vlogging game, Jay ended up updating his followers from the restaurant where he and his wife were dining the first night of their stay, sharing, “It’s very random, waiting in our restaurant to eat and someone says a VIPs pullin’ up.”
And sure enough, in true dad fashion, he couldn’t resist heading outside to do a little snooping and managed to capture footage of the “Choosin’ Texas” singer arriving at Bolongo Bay’s The Oasis alongside her rumored boyfriend. In the clip, Langley, dressed in an all-white satin set, is seen walking into the venue with Wetmore, with Jay narrating, “Isn’t that random and awesome?”
And now, the man has unknowingly found himself smack-dab in the middle of the pair’s ongoing dating speculation, with his unexpected celebrity sighting slowly making the rounds on social media. If I had to take a wild guess, it seems the two most likely headed out on a mini-vacation to celebrate the “Brunette” singer’s 27th birthday, which just so happened to be yesterday (Nov. 5).
Now, look, I’m not one to make assumptions, and I’m sure these two aren’t in a rush to publicly confirm the rumors anytime soon— but at this point, can we even call them rumors? With Langley now officially done touring for the year and both having a few weeks off to rest before heading back to Nashville for the CMA Awards on Nov. 18, I hope they get to enjoy some well-deserved “You & Me Time.”
