Firing back.
Jason Aldean’s latest single, “Try That In A Small Town” has had critics and social media warriors (mostly those who just hate his music or disagree with his politics) attacking the artist for being “pro-lynching” and “racist.”
Nobody can be shocked by Jason Aldean writing a racist as fuck song.

Him and his skanky wife hang out with Trump, and dress their kids in “anti-Biden” clothing.
The song is as shitty as he is. pic.twitter.com/TfLBtlRirT
Don’t even have to look to see why Jason Aldean is trending…he’s a white trash racist and always has been. He just strives to outdo himself with his next despicable act. 😡

While social media posts and headlines from top media outlets roll in, CMT has also decided to pull the new music video from their network after it has been being aired in the morning music video hours since July 14th.
The video was directed by Shaun Silva and features shots of Aldean standing in front of the Maury County Courthouse in Tennessee, where an apparent lynching took place in 1927.
Jason Aldean shot this at the site where a white lynch mob strung Henry Choate up at the Maury County Courthouse in Columbia, Tenn., after dragging his body through the streets with a car in 1927.

That's where Aldean chose to sing about murdering people who don't respect police. https://t.co/gBL7FlaBS2 pic.twitter.com/eGfmMc8HAI
When the video was released last week, Aldean told his Instagram followers: “When u grow up in a small town, it’s that unspoken rule of ‘we all have each other’s backs and we look out for each other.’ It feels like somewhere along the way, that sense of community and respect has gotten lost. Deep down we are all ready to get back to that. I hope my new music video helps y’all know that u are not alone in feeling that way. Go check it out!”
Now that the backlash has poured in, Jason Aldean released a statement on social media, saying the allegations and references are “meritless” and “dangerous.” Read his full statement below.
In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. These references are not only meritless, but dangerous.…
